Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn: Bring Me Sunshine

Published 2023-05-01
Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn are the ultimate screwball comedy team. Their combined talent, wit, and chemistry lend to their films together a comic flair that is unbeatable.

Originally, I made a tribute to these two a couple of months ago, but the song I chose caused it to be blocked on YouTube. So after I was introduced to this song from watching a Lionel Barrymore video created by @aswell84 I thought, "Hey, this could work for Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn!" It's such a cute, bouncy little song that it fits the energy and physical comedy perfectly, and this was a very fun video to make.

I highly recommend all three of the movies used here, but my personal favorite would have to be "Holiday" (1938). As much as I also love the other two, there's something special in the story - and really, the philosophy - that sets "Holiday" apart for me.

I hope you enjoy this little tribute, and please remember to click the like button and subscribe to Old Hat!

Films included:

Bringing Up Baby (1938)
Holiday (1938)
The Philadelphia Story (1940)

This tribute is so cute! Out of the three movies here, I liked Holiday the most too. I'm so glad, you enjoyed this little song. It does have such an upbeat sound to it. I believe it was a tv show theme, for a British show back in the 70's.
