Every Airlines Say "Goodbye" to 787 and BEGS For New A330Neo! Here's Why
The A3 30 Neo, an embodiment of Airbus's continuous pursuit of innovation, stands as a remarkable aircraft. Initially, it didn't stir much excitement from carriers, with few orders and a doubtful future. Yet, a shift in aviation dynamics has now positioned the Neo to potentially take the industry by storm. But what's behind this turnaround? To grasp this, we must trace back to its origins.
Every Airlines Say "Goodbye" to 787 and BEGS For New A330Neo! Here's Why
In 20 14, Airbus introduced A3 30 Neo to rival Boeing's 7 8 7, marking a friendly competition in the skies. The Neo distinguishes itself with groundbreaking advancements, particularly its engines. It's equipped with the exclusive Trent 7000 from Rolls-Royce, a state-of-the-art engine that not only succeeds its predecessor, the Trent 700, but also integrates the eco-friendly features of the Trent XWB, which powers the highly efficient A3 50. The Trent 7000 features an expansive 112-inch ( or 280-centimeter) fan and a 10 to 1 bypass ratio, which is double that of the earlier model. Owing to its compact, high-pressure core and the most recent advancements in fully swept, wide-chord fan technology, it achieves a 10 percent reduction in specific fuel consumption compared to the Trent 700. This leap in efficiency renders the A330 Neo a compelling choice for airlines aiming to slash operational costs and environmental impact.
Every Airlines Say "Goodbye" to 787 and BEGS For New A330Neo! Here's Why
The A3 30 Neo's debut was unluckily met with tepid interest, garnering scant orders, and casting doubt on its future. Airbus had hoped for sales of 1,000 aircraft but has seen only 300 Neos sold so far. Nonetheless, Airbus's steadfast dedication to innovation meant A3 30 Neo wouldn't be left in the shadows. Recognizing the aircraft's potential, Airbus invested in its development, implementing several enhancements to boost its allure to carriers.

  • The A330neos ability to handle both short and long routes makes it a valuable asset for airlines.

A330Neo is a good aircraft, but claiming that airlines are saying goodbye to 787 for A330Neo is ridiculous. Both aircraft have their pros and cons. Main advantage of 787 is having a composite structure, therefore being lighter. A330Neo is cheaper.

The A330neos new wing design is a technical marvel. The lift-to-drag ratio improvements are very impressive.
  • With these upgrades, the A330neo is definitely a strong competitor to the 787. Exciting times in aviation!

I flew on an A330neo recently, and it was a smooth, quiet ride. Definitely a great aircraft!
  • The A330neo’s design improvements are a testament to Airbuss innovative spirit. Can’t wait to see more of these flying.
  • The A330neo’s resilience and adaptability in the current market are truly impressive. A great comeback story!
  • Flying on the A330neo is a fantastic experience. Airbus has really upped their game with this model.

The A330neo’s transformation from underdog to star player is incredible. Shows how innovation can change the game.
  • Typical of recent videos, is to over hype the title. The A330-Neo is undoubtably a fine aircraft but to it being bought above the 787 is a ridiculous statement, most 787 have been in the air for years ahead of the A330 Neo. I suspect the A330neo's being bought are for cost and availability and its recent upgrades. This comparing of Aircraft is senseless, in that different aircraft fill different needs for airlines. I suspect video makers are getting desperate to "sell" their videos in a crowded market and just like the newspapers before them, exaggerate and even lie to get a response.

Great to see airlines recognizing the benefits of the A330neo. Its a solid alternative to the 787.

Airbus has really nailed it with the A330neo's eco-friendly features.
  • As far as I know the a330neo and the 787 have pretty much the same fuel efficiency. However, doesn’t require extra pilot and cabin crew training like if an airline opt for the 787. However, I think the 787 efficiency comes also from its design and materials and beats at some aspects the neo. But if an airline considers also the issues with the 787 related to Boeing’s greed, it may also be a crucial investment factor.

The new tire technology on the A330neo is brilliant. Reducing downtime is a huge plus for airlines.
