All these people saying “why didn’t you leave if he was abusive” have no idea of how abuse works. Abuse doesn’t start outright with physical violence, otherwise leaving would be easy. It’s a sinister long con of isolation, gas lighting, taking away means of leaving such as checking phones or keeping tabs on money. It’s about making you lose your sense of self worth, intimidating you. People should educate themselves on abusers tactics and victims stories rather than calling victims fools or money hungry. Smh.

No one should be treated below their dignity. Her kids helped her have a will to live. Best wishes to her and her family.

For all the people who are complaining that she is keeping the name to make money with it: I hope she is making alot of money with it its the least she deserves

All the men that are mad about her telling her story are creeps period

  • Yes ...her laugh 😂 when the reporter said wat next.... Was everything ... It just meant I'm Free ... N I felt that ... Beautiful women by the way...strong in every way... Blessings
  • “I’m too busy dealing with my own abuse”- truthful statement from anyone who’s experienced it.

She is not a victim… she is a SURVIVOR. I love her spirit. So strong, he didn’t deserve her
  • What a beautiful woman, she also was a victim. Bless you daughter, sister, friend, mother, wife and survivor. Live, shine, glow and know life is for living!

She sounds like an amazing person. Glad I came across this video today. Wishing her all the best.
  • Men abusing their girlfriends/wives behind closed doors is an epidemic. They can be a nice guy when with friends or family, but when they get in private with their woman they turn into a lunatic monster.
  • I love how she says "I paid for my name in pain, blood and tears- literally!" Yes!
  • Beautiful ❤️ thank you for speaking out as a domestic survor and watching abuse on my mom growing up this is amazing. We do heal we do grow and we break any chains and brake the cycle..🙏
  • Ooh this story brings me to tears. I’m so happy you got away from all of that abuse. A survivor, I love the way how you put it. Thanks for sharing. It definitely will help others along the way

Saying "Why don't you just leave?" to a victim of abuse is like saying "why don't you just eat?" to an anorexic
  • I'm so sorry that happened to you. I had an abusive husband and I'm lucky he didn't take my life. I hope you find healing.

I think she is credible. She is very articulate, there's no hesitation or tell tale lying signs like touching her hair or fidgeting. She was also honest when she said she was scared he would kill her but not fearful he would kill their children. If she wanted to sensationalise she would have said she feared for her kids too. She's being honest.
