Margot Robbie (Barbie herself) and Ryan Gosling (just Ken) speak to BBC Radio 1's film critic Ali Plumb about Greta Gerwig's Barbie, touching on such hot button topics as the Barbie slide, the Barbie wave, Barbie memes, Ken's rollerskates, Ken's tricky-to-say fashion pieces, Ken's totally unimportant t-shirts. Oh, and those times Margot and Ryan dressed up as a cigarette and a hamster (respectively). And did we mention the rollerskates? They definitely come up too.

Ryan referencing Cillian with "what's a meme?" is just genius hahaha

Bro Ryan is such a comedic genius. His timing and body language make up for such subtle yet sublime jokes, I love him.
  • i just realized that the reason ken says “girlfriend and boyfriend” instead of “boyfriend and girlfriend” (which sounds a lot more natural) is because barbie comes first. he’s always just barbie’s accessory. this movie is so crazy and clever and i’m so frickin excited

Who knew a Barbie movie would make us think more about death 😂

Seeing Ryan in that hamster costume was hilarious 🤣 I know he will kill it as Ken, it will be one for the history books I'm afraid!

Ryan Gosling deserves an Oscar for Ken, seriously. No one else can fill those shoes as well as he has.

The flashbacks only prove Ryan Gosling always had physical comedy in the cannon.

It's literally annoying how extremely likable they are. Smiled throughout the video. So excited for this one. 💖
  • I've just seen the movie and it was unbelievable. To be honest, they found the right actress to play Barbie's role and Margot didn't disappoint anybody at all. Moreover, Ryan earned my admiration through his Ken's performance, I wish he could get an Oscar for his role.

I second the notion of feeling "Karbie" as well, mentally, emotionally, and physiologically

Lol Ryan did a good "whats a meme" like Cillian Murphy ❤ Cillian is such an old soul. I love it
  • I love how ryan is making fun of cillian not knowing what a meme is and margot is just like a mother like “Ryan!” With a disapproving look
  • @paulkyle
Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford have the same energy by hiding their impeccable comedic timing and delivery behind "I don't give a fuck" persona

I was worried we wont get to witness the great trio Ali Margot and Ryan. But here we go!
  • @Celon.
7:07 Ryan : "what's a meme" and then Margot softly thundered "Ryan" at him . lmao

Ali calling out Ryan for being proud of his "What's a meme?" quip is just what I needed today 😆

This dude such a great interviewer. Seen some not so great ones on this press tour but this guy just always brings out the passion in the actors.

Barbie’s promotional tour has been a treat to watch, love the chill vibe between Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, you can tell they had a great time filming the movie and are enjoying the promotional aspects as well, perfect casting for Ken and Barbie 👏👏👏👏😊

I think it says a lot about Margot that she took a role like being a ciggarette for a conmercial. She wasnt born into success, she worked her way here.

Margot is becoming so iconic every movie she does. From Tarzan to Harley Quinn to Barbie. Shes a freaking legend and shes only 33
