F46 Eaglet stands up to raccoon trying to enter nest again. Mom attacks. Xcel Fort St Vrain

Around 4pm MDT, F46 (Zoee) is on alert and postures in defense as a raccoon tries to enter the nest. You can barely see the top of its head twice, to left of Zoee’s head. Mom swoops in immediately from her perch and attacks. This went on for for a few minutes. She remained on alert for two hours , occasionally flapping her wings. Did not see the raccoon until around 6pm. Next video…

    Wow, thanks for capturing this....my schedule did not permit me to check on the nest so I missed this completely!!! I was worried the raccoon would be back---thank goodness Mom is now on alert & hopefully can prevent another tragedy!! -Hugs 🤗
