Mariah Carey DISSING Her OWN Songs

Published 2023-04-21
You already knew that I assemble music that Mariah Carey despises in this video. Her reaction to the music is apparent. despite the fact that some of the songs were favorites of Mariah Carey fans. She hated eight songs, including Hero, Forever, I Don't Wanna Cry, Almost Home, Prisoner, Loverboy (Firecraker Version), Someday, and You're So Cold. Were you agree with her? How can she hate so much prisoner???? Come on, the debut album is a masterpiece
  • She actually dissed not the song itself, but the "Someday" video here literally dissing specific shots.
  • so cold is one of her most powerful songs in terms of belting.
  • A bad Mariah song is better than any song that's poppin today. Ugh, she's such a 👑queen👑 , I can't.
  • My mom is a trained singer she translated Hero to Spanish and taught me to sing when I was 6 and I won Little Miss Puerto Rico in my state after I won I was published in a news paper in Puerto Rico. I still have it. That song means a lot to me. ❤

She never said she disliked or hated Prisoner. She only said the “justice for Prisoner AND You Need Me” isn’t going to happen. Which is true cuz who’s going to play these songs. They weren’t even released as singles back then. And always remember how vocal she is about her aversion towards the over production of her debut album which is the reason she isn’t a fan of IDWC because of how the song sounded differently from how she wanted it to be. Same goes to the rest of the songs.
  • The fact that today I was just thinking about her songs that she didn’t like and then I got recommended this video

Technically, she never said she hated the song "Someday", she just didn't like the music video because of the way it looked. So that's a different thing. What she said about the song is that she preferred the demo version versus the final product we all hear on the debut album because for her, it sounded "over-produced" that it lost it's style that she had intended for the song to be.

I always thought she's mean like the Kardashians. But she's just frank. She even dissed her own songs.I love her even more cuz artists aren't to be sealed in.And She's that bitch....🎉🎉🎉🎉

I don’t believe the “So Cold” one was actually a diss. Because she made me go listen to it and I see why people love it. I saw it more of a tactic to get people to listen to it but I could be wrong😊
  • I remember an interview of Mariah in her 20s and she said she had never been sad about a heartbreak bc she never had one, so I can understand why she would say that "I don't wanna cry" is the least of her personality. That is actually a pretty mature song in terms of lyrical meaning. I'm actually amazed how well she could put into words feelings or situations that she hadn't experienced if you consider her first album, few of the songs were written when she was about 16 y/o. She must be pretty good at understanding, observing or just paying attention to what ppl go through, like those persons who can read a room when they just arrive.

The firecracker sample was trash. That was a blessing in disguise Mariah
  • Prisoner should be a single from her debut album and #1. Her most underrated song. Forever and You're so cold are beautiful as well
  • Back in 1992 a lot of this music kept me going. Don't be afraid to sing hope for people. Nothing wrong with hope.

It's funny, I Dont Wanna Cry was the song that made me a Mariah Carey fan. That song made me stop in my tracks back in the day.
