I used to go “viral” on the Bible app (relatively speaking) pretty frequently back in 2020. Still super close to so many friends from there. Just got invited to my second Bible app wedding!

"You can't go viral on scratch!" Griffpatch:

As someone who uses scratch, it is just a social media app but people don't share their information and just share games and animations

i swear this guy is the younger version of ryan trahan, such entertaining videos

Guys I think Jesus is already the most popular person on the Bible app. 🗿
  • scratch is kinda like a social media but not at the same time. it has followers, and it has likes and hearts (like some social medias). but instead of videos and photos its games and animations.
  • I know the first kid that added you on Bible he goes to my school😂
  • @zakomations
Scratch is crazy hard to go viral on. You literally NEED to just remix or have a youtube as well. Like, massive blunder

When I saw a CapCut, I was like: “CapCut is basically a social media app and a editing app- 😭” (CapCut Templates)

I went viral on Scratch waaayyyy back in like ‘07-‘08!! I’m not sure how robust it is now, but it had a pretty thriving community of anime fans and furries that were more interested in making animations than games. Very Flipnote Hatena in vibes. This was right around the time Caramelldansen was a meme, and I spent a middle school computer lab period painstakingly tracing a gif, frame-by-frame, of a character dancing in Scratch to make a template for anyone who wanted to animate their own character dancing. It was on the front page for close to a month because of how many people were downloading, remixing, and commenting. Idk if it’s a feature nowadays, but back then, the mods would select a user every week to curate a small section of the front page with like 3-4 of their favorite projects by other users. The Caramelldansen template popped up in those pretty frequently. I think its popularity also might’ve landed me a week of being a curator but I don’t exactly remember. I also made a leekspin template that got pretty popular, but was nowhere near the success of the Caramelldansen one. By the looks of it, and from what others in the comments are saying, Scratch’s social side has been cut back a lot. You used to be able to comment and have discussion threads under projects. I think there was a whole forum side to the site where kids just roleplayed. It’s a shame it’s gone because it was just a really great place for kids to interact with each other. Kids can’t get that out of any social media nowadays.

I love that touch at the end where you remove the BeReal notification but not the Bible one. ❤
