    I like the lack of gimping. The smooth straight-line thumb ramp on the spine, along with the handle shape gives very secure purchase. The smooth, simple geometry of this knife is all about delivering elegance and sophistication. Interesting and ironic that the design was based on a "primative" African tribal pattern hundreds of years old. For me, the reach, blade shape, and grip retention provides as good a knife in a self-defense situation as Spyderco or CRK makes. It is my all-time favorite EDC folder.
