❤Good job having dental treatment without anesthesia! A mandibular nerve block always lasts a long time & you are right about not having a nerve anymore if you’ve already had endodontic treatment (root canal). I’m a dentist & I was always taught it school… “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” If your tooth with the amalgam filling (not lead) is still intact and has no leakage around the margins, it’s fine to leave it. It may be unaesthetic, but it is still a good restoration & you don’t want to traumatize the tooth just to remove a good filling because it isn’t esthetic. Happy Holidays Tamara! Kao student stomatologije, kazem ti da ne menjas amalgam ako je sve u redu. Dobro uradjen amalgam moze da traje cak 30 godina, dok je kompozit materijal cija je najveca mana polimerizaciona kontrakcija i stvaranje mikro pukotina. Zato oni traju 5-6 godina nepromenjeni.
