  • "If memory serves, you had your own ballerinas for that" was my favorite retort.

Matt Smith/Prince Philip yelling at everyone in the final seconds of season two has always been my favourite moment. So glad it made the list. 😅
  • @oodle_noodle
Tommy Lascelles silently adjusting his war model after the Queen puts it back in the wrong place!
  • @4primus
"Our Queen is dancing... with an African." "It seems like the Foxtrot, Sir."
  • Olivia Colman's delivery of "you've made it this far" wrecks me on every rewatch. Her back and forth with Michael over the priest is also hilarious 🤣
  • Princess Anne is my favorite character on the show. I love the scene u describe here, but I also love when she gets her grandmother, Princess Alice interviewed by the newspaper. She is definitely the princess of sass!
  • @pinkosmondfan
Philip's like, "Duh. Anne's my favorite. Haven't you been paying attention?" LOL
  • Without a doubt Princess Anne inherited Prince Philip's wit and humour which is why she's his favorite
  • In season 2, when Philip says that Elizabeth could always double her new haircut as a helmet, if she ever feels compelled to ride a motorbike 😂😂👏🏻👏🏻
  • I thought prince Phillip calling "sweetie" on the microphone was funny. And the queen said "My name is cabbage"
  • One of my favorites is when Prince Phillip makes fun of the Queen's new hairstyle. 😂
  • @trinaq
Gillian Anderson did a wonderful job of making Thatcher feel so out of place at Balmoral. You actually start to feel sorry for her, in spite of her tyrannical nature.
  • @mzspargo
How could y’all forget "If memory serves, you had your own ballerinas for that" causing Phillip to choke on his food and stutter. That’s my funniest moment from the entire series

My favorite would be the meeting with her tutor when she finds out parliament have been hiding Churchill's medical issues from her. The tutor tells her to summon them and dress them down like children because, being upperclass men, the thing they want most is a dressing down from nanny.
  • Before Princess Anne's interrogation she warms the audience up by singing "Star Man" to herself in the car. It gets funnier from there. As well, the "punch line" from Princess Margaret after Thatcher leaves Balmoral "I thought I was very nice"--truthfully that's Margaret at her best behavior. In the same season, although this is a bit dark, Elizabeth questioning why Diana wants William with her on their trip to Australia. She and the Queen Mother both question why a baby would be a "stabilizing influence" and Elizabeth argues that when she went on tour to Australia she left the kids at home for five. Anne looks PO-ed and about to let out one of her sharpest barbs yet and Margaret looks at her like "I got you kiddo" and asks Elizabeth if she thought that that might have had consequences. And Elizabeth obliviously answers "of course, the tour was a triumph!"

I think the funniest scene js when the Queen tells Margaret that her love interest is a "friend of Dorothy" 😄
  • A lot of the scenes with Princess Margaret are really funny. I especially like the scene when her and the Queen are discussing where Diana lives and Margaret says Diana's sharing a flat with "prostitutes and Australians"😂😂
  • John Lithgow is the best Winston Churchill that I have ever seen. He’s such a well rounded underrated actor.
