I met Henry in the parking lot of a radio station in Tampa in '95. My buddy and I asked if we could get an autograph. His manager tried to blow us off but Henry stopped and signed a cpl autographs for us and talked to us for a minute. Down to earth, very appreciative of his fans, full on legend!

I’m so old I can remember when people with different political opinions could still be friends.

I saw him in college in 1987. My friend, who was using my own guitar that night, was in a local band that opened for Rollins. The guitar player for Rollins had issues with both of his guitars so he picked up mine and played most of the concert with it! I stood 3ft in front of Henry the whole show. One of those magical memories I’ll never forget.
  • This clip followed straight after Henry on the Stern show where he said he’d like it if Bono’s life was shortened…
  • This is why I respect Henry....Henry HATES Ted's politics, but still gives him his due for the music he's made and the influence he's had. That's respect. Even when you don't agree.

Yes, there is something in the water in Michigan. It's lead.
  • Teddy played my little air force town. He yelled "I smell nuclear warheads!". The crowd went wild.
  • I have a buddy that met him back in the Damn Yankees era, and despite both being guitarists, talked about bow hunting for half an hour and Ted autographed some paper targets for him. Said out of all the pro musicians he's met, Ted was the nicest by far. Anecdotal, but I trust the source.
  • Rollins is a really smart guy, dig the fact that he can disagree with Ted but still appreciate the art he's made.

Henry “Anyone can get knocked on their ass” Glen Danzig: “Yep.”
  • If I recall, Henry went to Bullis Prep....pretty elite school back in the day.

I once saw Henry Rollins reading a book while waiting for a flight at the LAX airport. One person recognized him and said hi and shook his hand. He looked genuinely nice when meeting the guy. I didn’t go up to him. Just passed by. Yup. That’s my Henry Rollins story. Seems nice.

It's so fantastic to hear this joy in Henry's voice when he's talking about old Detroit scene. I am share this love with him. Music helps connect people around the World.

I saw Uncle Ted 40 years ago and 6 years ago…He still had it! So did Derek St. Holmes! ✌️😎🎸🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶

Ted is just always on 11, he has no filter, maybe that’s part of his guitar playing.

I have heard Henry Rollins say some things that takes my breath away. Lets be real he isn't the most stable rational guy. But this is what we all need more of. Political mortal enemies need to hang out and get to know each other as people. Maybe then we can start to heal this world.
  • We saw KISS in Pittsburgh back in 1985 or 1986, with Ted Nugent as the opening act. Ted was AMAZING! Full of energy, one of the best shows I'd ever seen! Then KISS played their set; at the end, the lights went off and they left the stage, waiting for the crowd to cheer them back for an encore, but we all just got up and started leaving. The lights came back on, no encore, the show was over.

Met uncle Ted back in Michigan in my high school days when he lived in Hanover Horton. Ran into him much later at my daughter's workplace in Waco TX. Such a cool down to earth guy, love him.
