Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju will table the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024, a bill to amend the Waqf Act, 1995. This bill seeks to "effectively address issues" related to the powers and functioning of the State Waqf Boards, registration and survey of waqf properties and removal of encroachments. The bill is also aimed at providing justice to poor Muslims and Muslim women besides freeing Waqf properties from illegal occupation. Some changes to the present Act include ensuring the representation of Muslim women and non-Muslims in such bodies. The amended bill seeks to define the terms 'waqf' and omit provisions related to the 'waqf by user'. As per the bill, 'Waqf' would be defined as Waqf by any person who is a practising Muslim for at least 5 years and having ownership of such property and ensure the creation of Waqf-alal-aulad doesn't lead to the denial of women's inheritance rights. Stop all appeasements in the name of Secularism. All laws should be Secular and not be religion-based. WAQF should be completely abolished and be treated just like any other charity organization.

When Government can control Hindu temples and takes percentages and taxes, why cant they with Mosques and Churches. This is bias against Indian public, and unconstitutional. Free Temples.

Please educate us with a facts-based analysis of the Muslim WAQF board? Why? When? Where? How? Are there WAQF boards for other communities or religions in India and abroad?
  • Waqf = a State in another State... To note that the Act is anticonstitutional as Bharat is a secular state...not an islamic state...Seems the Act couldn't be repealed or abrogated as when Hindus, when requested by Modiji to give him an absolute majority at the last elections to get such evil acts wiped away easily, they preferred to vote their cast instead of casting their votes...Shame on Hindus to have failed NDA in securing an Absolute majority...This is how Hindus will always lose grounds in Bharat and might even lose the country one day due to disolidarity, disunion and casteist approaches...
  • Very illogical demand to repell.Everyone should have the right to go to court if they are unsatisfied with judgement of waqf board but they, then what about fundamental rights of constitutional remedies, the bill this is the first great decision by the government in current tenure and if this bill gets repelled I'm never gonna vote for bjp again
