I went on a road trip to Colorado. On my way back to Florida I visited South Carolina and as soon as I got there (coming in through Augusta Georgia) it was snowing.

It depends on what part of south carolina, Charleston no farther north in south carolina some snow.

I was looking for this kind of explanation ! I have been thinking of moving to SC ! I am from New England....so I have had my fill of snow !

I have lived in the Upstate of South Carolina since 1989 and we get snow every year (unless it's a La Nina year) and we can get up to 10" a year on low to moderate El Nino years. But La Nina years we stay mostly dry and warmer. But I wouldn't say we didn't really get snow. I'd say we do get snow, just not in feet like the northeast, appalachians and rockies.

Never say never. The worst snow I've ever been stuck in was 23" in Orangeburg in 1973. Took 5 days for the National Guard to dig us out.

For anyone wondering we got a really good snow in the upstate this year. Some areas almost saw a foot of snow

It snows in every state in the union , in the low country almost never.

Hmm, i thought snow was a one of a kind event in SC that happens once in a few years.

Does it snow in Beaufort? Looking at moving to South Carolina. I live in Ohio and Im sick of the cold and snow. I want somewhere warm in the winters where I can walk outside at night, etc.

Of course we get snow but it’s not much, we get excited about 3 inches of snow

So if no snow in South Carolina they can plant some Tropical fruits Like Mango 🥭, Banana 🍌 and Avocado 🥑 haha..
