"It was a good body slam by Melia, but I'm not sure you're really allowed to do that." Classic comment

Kasey Keller: "I'm not sure you're really allowed to do that!" Bravo to Alex for taking the Yellow looking after his big brother. PRO and Ishmael gotta explain why Melia only gets yellow - that wasn't violent enough for them? Oh, I guess he didn't kick him after throwing him to the pitch.

Any field player does that and it's a straight red immediately, but I guess it's ok for keepers to do that. Nice refereeing all around.

Dude got a rock bottom courtesy of the goalkeeper 😂😂😂😂😂
  • I dunno. They let hockey players fight. Maybe this is the MLS’s attempt at gaining a broader viewership! 🤣

Really hope MLS does a thorough review if this. Should have been a red card.

Wow I would not expect someone to do that unless they are losing by a lot
  • I was at the game. The entire stadium was in shock this wasn’t a pk. Now after watching it on video I’m pissed this wasn’t a red card!

Melia was scared to get scored on so he took Matters into his own hands
  • @Munrubenmuz
What was actually given after this though? Yellow to both players and then what?

Should have been an ejection. You cannot body slam someone just because they got in your way. You are allowed to get in the keeper's way as have same right to the ball. Now, he might push you out of the way some and refs allow a little bit, but to grab someone and WWE body slam? No way. That ref always messes up. Sounders have a home field disadvantage with the refs most of the time. And I say that as a ref myself.
