Running Halo on a PS4 through Linux using Proton is absolutely mental

Best part is the Uncharted scene, “Hey look that window’s broken over there” Nathan casually levitates over a 300 fr drop

Bloodbourne was a lot harder because it uses an old engine as most FromSoftware games do (they just aren’t very good devs when you look at the whole picture). The game speed was tied to frame rate so if you ran the game at 60fps originally the game would double in speed, so the guy who made the patch actually had to put a lot of work into it to get it working. But with almost every other PS4 game its as easy as modying 2 lines of hex code.
  • I can't wait to make cursed photo, with me playing Forza on a PS4, and the caption says "Nintendo".
  • You're an amazing conversationist and it helps with following instructions. Thank you Jeff. Stay blessed.
  • Yooo the BLOODBORNE cart glad to see you’re doing well Jeff not sure if you remember me from school but keep it up mayne

For those asking: the Death Stranding bundle runs on 6.70 firmware, it's pricey but from games alone i have played i would've spent double the price of the PS4 pro

God I love this kind of stuff. I have literally as much fun modding and hacking consoles as I do playing the games it allows me to play.

It's so cool to finally see this!!! I had heard that the homebrew community was working on this several years ago, but the last I heard they were only able to hack some achievements and such, low-level stuff. But this-- This is incredible. So glad to maybe give this a try!

This makes sense to do now since the PS4 is about to reach its lifespan as a past-gen console. which is both interesting and very scary.
