Planning the layouts to include in a reading journal

Published 2024-06-30
I've been reading a lot of books and writing wonderful reviews online, but keeping only a minimal record for myself, and I've decided that has to change, so I'm finally creating a reading journal.

In this video I go through my research and ideas on layouts to include in my new reading journal, and where they'd go. A list is provided for spreads to go at the front of the journal, the monthly pages, and what I'd include in each book record.

I get most of my books through Kindle Unlimited, and if you'd like to check it out, please consider subscribing via my affiliate links below (for Australia, UK and US), as this would be huge help.

UK amzn.to/4bjxSQE
USA amzn.to/49Wp55P

Chapters are as follows:
How I currently record my reading 00:16
Brain dumping ideas 05:15
Annual pages 06:54
Reading challenges 09:25
Monthly spreads 14:09
Individual book records 15:48

I ended up splitting my video into two, so part 2 will cover the pros and cons of 10 different journals I'm considering using as my reading journal.

Of course, once I've decided, there will be lots of fun setting out my pages, which I'll share with you as they're created!

I am currently working in an Archer & Olive journal. You can support me by buying one through my affiliate link and also get 10% off. They've just opened a new warehouse and have a whole bunch of new designs available on their website!
