Hearing the tank museum say the words “cope cages” makes me smile

This guy is the final boss of tank knowledge. A never-ending stream of facts in one take. Remarkable.

I came for the tanks, I stayed for the wonderfully presented war effort analysis and strategic talk about both sides of the war. This is better than most current affair reports made by local TV stations where I live. Excellent video!

The presentation was truly exceptional, a remarkable demonstration of the excellence of The Tank Museum as an institution. The intelligent and unbiased analysis of the war was truly insightful, providing me with a wealth of new knowledge and perspectives. I was particularly impressed with how the presentation opened up new avenues of thought, sparking my curiosity and expanding my understanding of the subject matter. I extend my heartfelt appreciation for sharing such a wonderful and enlightening experience with us.

About 15 seconds in and David says, "I want to talk about tanks today". David, it's Friday, we wait all week for you to talk about them today.

3:00 hearing the professor saying "cope cages" has brought immense joy to my life.

David has done an excellent job of walking through the minefield of a current event that is the war in Ukraine. This is a very important discussion about what is happening and why it not just about tanks, because tanks don't operate in a vacuum, they operate in a fluid three dimensional environment, where a threat can come from anywhere. David has also done an excellent job of walking the fine line between real results, concealing potential future opportunities and peering through the fog of propaganda. No easy task. Keep up with the good work David, and I am looking forward to the next episode of Tank Chats. Mark from Melbourne Australia

I love hearing somebody like David saying "cope cages" since it's a term from the younger generations. Fully validated.
-
Your insights about the war, combined with factual assessments that are scarce in the current environment of propaganda, are much appreciated!

So nice to hear someone who knows more about this subject than what "world of tanks" has shown him. He gets that the machines arent invulnerable

Excellent. I thought I would probably be skipping through this, but ended up watching every minute of it. The presenter knowledgeably covers a lot more than just the tank issue the title might suggest, and the analysis is steeped in more realism than we often see these days. Well done.

Thank you for a brilliant presentation, and thank you also for not forgetting the people in the middle of this nightmare.

Hi Tank team. You guys are the best. Love all the content. In fact, if I had any complaints about this format, it’s that, there’s not enough videos. Don’t hold back from doing more and I fully appreciate as much depth on topic as you can manage for your videos. All the little nuances of info actually help me digest Ukraine current events and put it all in a good context. Thanks again.

(23:38) This clip is short, but the story it tells is chilling. The desperation of the Russian soldier as he frantically tries to shoot down the incoming drone is disturbing, to say the least. Indeed. Warfare is changing. It's both fascinating and unsettling at the same time.

We need an update of this video based on the counter offensive

Hard sci-fi writer and PhD candidate here. I think that tanks still have a place in the battlefield until another technology that is currently only experimental matures enough to make them obsolete: completely bulletproof, powered exoskeletons. however this would require major advancements in material technology and energy storage, compact linear motors and a way to cheaply mass produce it at a fraction of the cost. The reason this would make tanks outdated past salvation is the amount of ordinance a soldier could carry while retaining superior mobility, cover and versatility.
-
Thank you for doing this. This in-depth type of analysis is what we need in an age of Tick-tock and 24-hour news that is the same hype repeated every few hours.
-
It’s very interesting to hear you guys cover current events.
