"No one clapped, they hated it" meanwhile everyone really just had their minds blown. Crazy how tough he was on himself

« I can't top that last song » Wow, he was the only one who understood what had just happened... The perfect swan song.

This isn’t the best mtv unplugged performance ever, it is the best performance ever done

This is why Nirvana is the best, they put a different set and gave us a memorable performance It never fails to make me cry everytime I hear/watch Where did you sleep last night for 30 yrs

I bought a turntable and a stereo a few months back, and when I saw this record, I had to buy it immediately.

The soundtrack of my life. The first album I've ever had. Still, 30 years later and a bunch of music listened, a top 10 in my personal ranking.

nirvana unplugged was performed in late 93 not in 94 kurt died in 94
  • I really appreciate this channe so muchl, while it covers the same topics and conversations on Nirvana that have been said and heard before, but to me they do it in such a way that's very informative educative retrospect view. The begging focusing on the orgins of unplugged was such a delight as that was all very new to me.
  • a "really good version" of "where did you sleep last night?" is an understatement😭,this was a nice vid btwâ˜ș👍

The Alice In Chains one is top notch, from start to finish.

Kurt has his share of haters that are quick to tell us Nirvana were an average band, however anyone who has watched Unplugged NY in it's entirety would agree it is an incredibly good performance from start to finish. Few bands have a performance even half as good and you have to go to legend status to even find a performance that can be in the same conversation as Unplugged NY.
  • Thank you very much for this video, it’s been a while since I’ve become very interested by the mtv unplugged series, at the time I was 15 and that was just happening and was good, today I realize how remarkably well produced and what an amazing outcome had for so many bands and for us the audience. I come from Argentina, they also did it with the Latin American and Spanish rock bans from that time and they’re just amazing, how lucky are we those who lived and appreciate that time in rock n’ roll. Thanks again.

Very well made video. I know a lot about Nirvana but I found out new things while watching!

I knew McCartney did the first one but didn't know he came up with the idea. Wish he done it again later when he realised people put loads of effort into it as McCartney's was really casual and stuck to it being acoustic completely whilst everyone else used electric
  • Grohl was right. If you watch uncut and their rehearsals - they were really bad. But what they did in the end was pure magic.
  • The Bungie sticks are great for playing quietly, plus you get great bounce from them.
