Fun fact: During my interview for a consultancy job in my native Sierra Leone. This song was playing from a nearby building right after my session was done. I started singing along as I was walking outside. The team interview me (who are mostly in their late 40s or early 50s) stopped to see if i can sing the entire song (I am in my early 30s). They were surprised I nailed it word for word. A week later I was offered the consulting gig. I have extended my contract four times.

It was only this 2023 I knew they gave me the gig due to the fact I sang along on this song. They can offer more beyond professional competence.

Thanks to the Fugees. This is my favorite joint among the 'killing me softly' songs. The mastery of rheir lyrics partly gave me a job.
