What is ASMR?
Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response

A feeling of well-being combined with a tingling sensation in the scalp and down the back of the neck, as experienced by some people in response to a specific gentle stimulus, often a particular sound.
• Autonomous – spontaneous, self-governing, with or without control
• Sensory – about the senses or sensation
• Meridian – signifying a peak, climax, or point of highest development
• Response – referring to an experience triggered by something external or internal
(Source: Wikipedia)

ASMR signifies the subjective experience of "low-grade euphoria" characterized by "a combination of positive feelings and a distinct static-like tingling sensation on the skin". It is most commonly triggered by specific auditory or visual stimuli, and less commonly by intentional attention control.

I can't believe I found this. When I was little I had horrible night anxiety, and my mom was an avid reader. I had completely forgotten that i used to fall asleep next to her and I was only able to close my eyes and try to sleep because I could hear that she was still awake & reading by the sound of the pages turning. It was always so comforting. My mom passed away 2 years ago, and I hadn't thought about this in nearly 20 years. Thank you so much for creating this video - I'll be falling asleep to it every night now💜

This is the first video I’ve seen on your channel. It popped up on my recommended and I’m glad I clicked on it. I used to read a lot as a kid, and be read to a lot more. This just feels really nostalgic lol
  • I didn't know I needed this in my life until it was in my life. This is exactly what I need at work to keep me focus. Thanks for all your videos!!!!

You know it’s a good video when all the comment (most that i’ve seen i haven’t scrolled far) Are all loving and supportive comment❤️ But can you blame them? This video is so helpful and so calming, And it’s long so for people who find it harder to sleep and can usually take hours to fall asleep☺️ I recently found this video then the channel after. I’m in love lol, This is one of the best asmr video’s i’ve seen/heard. Keep it up<3 This takes patience to flip pages for 4 hours straight, Plus editing and getting set up. This is truly a masterpiece and i’m glad people agree. I’ve been looking for asmr to help me calm down or make me fall asleep and i’ve found it! This by far deserves all the love, Thank you so much 🫶 And i’m sorry for being like a year late XD

I think a big part for me, is how gentle and respectful you're being with each page. You are giving care and attention, no page feels left out. That on top of the sounds just makes this a really comforting experience ❤❤❤

I love the sounds of crinkled paper, pages turning, and other paper sounds. I can't explain it but it's one of the most tingle inducing sounds. Thanks. 👍
