I LOVE how her smile is never smug but a smile of enjoyment, of satisfaction. Sweet girl :)

I should probably not admit how deeply I am touched by the music written by this beautiful soul. I am completely swept away and tears run down my cheeks.

What's in a name?! Clearly Emily does not have "Native American" ancestors, she is descended from European ancestors. As my grand daughter Chloe recently married John Sedgbeer this started me thinking. Here, in England, we have Bere Regis (Regis indicates "Royal" connections).and also there is the village of Beer in East Devon. The "Pilgrim Fathers" sailed from Plymouth in 1620. Could there have been an inhabitant of Beer on board? Rockford, Illinois is close to Pennsylvania, the state founded by The Pilgrim Fathers. Through new laws in Britain designed to protect the privacy of the individual, it has become very difficult to trace anybody's ancestry. But I am sure that The Pilgrim Fathers hold the clue to Emily's Surname. It would be so interesting to find out and because of my grand daughter's marriage, I may now be tenuously related to Emily.
