Got here from receiving the following: "Sixteen of the best songs ever released by Wigan musicians, as chosen by our readers" A humorous and enjoyable song from The Lancashire Hotpots, which probably appeals more to us Lancashire folk. Good luck to them. By the way, I certainly cannot agree with the list "Sixteen of the best..." as some are not from Wigan and many Wigan bands, musicians, song writers are missing from the list.

Coming from Teesside in the north east, and having a baby girl to a partner from leeds, who calls herself a northerner (we all know Leeds is the midlands at best, someone cocked up) but for some reason uses the term lunch, and calls her tea her dinner. I just say that was 5 hours ago. It disgusts me beyond words and i can’t allow my daughter to be raised inclined to believe tea is just a drink. Thankyou for your service, LH. I will refer to this for the rest of my life in times of need and distress.

I'm a working clas southerner and 100% agree with you. I hate and deplore the term lunch. As far as I'm concerned it is a stuck up word. I will be sharing this song with anyone that contradicts me/us.

I'm half Lincolnshire and half Yorkshire. Both my parents called it breakfast, dinner and tea. My son is nephew of a bloke living with his wife who was born in Bolton , they say Breakfast,lunch and dinner.
