When the pandemic hurt his wedding photography business, photographer Carlos Gauna switched to taking drone photos and videos of great white sharks along California’s coast and discovered just how close the animals come to surfers and swimmers. Despite the close encounters, Gauna says he has not seen a single shark attack – but he still gets nervous seeing them swim near people. NBC’s Erin McLaughlin reports for Weekend TODAY.
