Some say he was born deaf, others that he lost both ears playing russian roulette. all we know is: he's the sound editor!

I own an E60 M5 and my father owns an XFR. They are 100% correct. The M5 is just better on track, however the XFR simply blitzes it on the road for ride quality and compliance. Its a truly sublime car.

Whoever edited the voice overs for this clip needs to be fired if they haven't been already.
  • Watching this in 2018, who would have thought that M5 would be 1 million % more unreliable than a *Jaggggggg*. All told the XFR is better...wonders...

My father has owned 4 Jaguars since 2012, he bought a 2010 xfr in black. We were a family of four, and it was a family race car lol! We did 300km/hr the whole way through Saskatchewan on a road trip from BC to manitoba. We went from kelowna to penticton (45 min drive) in 20 minutes, down a windy curvy mountain highway. The jaguar handled so well on road, and it was a show piece wherever we went. It beat gallardo's, Audi r8's, corvettes, mustang's and mopar cars, everything, it walked on everything!!

this XF was a great combo of luxury, style, comfort and speed, a modern classic.

The part where he flips the ac vents open were literally the reason I bought this car when at the dealership 😂😂😂 so I love that he included that in this video
  • I've had a naturally aspirated V8 XF for a few years now. Lovely car except for two things: 1. You need to hold the traction control button down for 10 seconds to turn if off. 2. No limited slip differential (dealer can't even offer an option from the XFR) Lack of manual transmission was my third gripe but I've kinda gotten used to the 'lazy power' :) Cheers guys
  • 2 year ownership of a facelift XFR and it is simply sublime. The attention it gets is surprising

Anybody else find that the regular sound man is probably on holiday every time these videos are uploaded? Cus i can't hear clarksons voice over the engine noises lol

"I've got so much torque, I could TEAR A HOLE IN TIME!!!!" Best line ever

Just bought my XFR. Test drive yesterday. Such quality extras included over bmw and merc. This has tv. Heated steering wheel . Adaptive cruises and is touchscreen. Bmw swirling knob was removed in 2015 I think . Just came from diesel XF portfolio S. Remember ...a Car is only old if tech is outdated. Jaguar is still leading those in its age and this one is 10yr old . Brum Brum.

They've uploaded the Left / Right surround sound mix - so missing the centre speaker means clarkson's a little low in the mix

I own an XFR and I can only say it's one of the most astonishing cars I have ever driven and I have driven alot!!! Soooooo comfortable quiet and unassuming... but the instant speed of this thing from zero revs in any gear is just sublime it will blitz anything it comes across with sure footed handling... I wanted to be critical of this car but it just keeps impressing me with its abilities...

just got the XF 3.0 V6 supercharged today.....what a machine. Serious upgrade from my Audi A4 1.8T

Absolutely stunning Jag, being 0.5secs slower then the M5 doesn´t really mean a lot considering that the Jag is way softer to drive and much more quiet then the M5. Put a stiff suspension on the Jag(like the M5) and you can easily get a sec or two off the time. And the crown goes to.........Jaguar :)
  • I have a 2011 r Jaguar XF and it’s a wonderful car honestly, even with a lot of miles when you want to drive it daily it does the job but open it up on the highway here in Texas and it’s a whole different beast, I’ve beaten a lot of newer sports cars to my surprise when that boost kicks in it’s an animal

is it just me or is the sound edited really poorly in this? Can't even hear him @ 2:43  seems to be a recurring thing with some episodes too
