Link to Arken Optics: bit.ly/2RtXXZH (With optic & shooting combo in cart, use code "texasplinking" to save $170) Guns are loud for 3 main reasons. Muzzle blast, supersonic crack of the bullet, and the cycling action itself. To reduce this as much as possible, in this video I shoot a suppressed bolt action rifle firing subsonic .308 rounds. The results, quiet. The effectiveness, meh.

  • this is the quietest rifle Me watching this with no sound: I can confirm that
  • @UltraVS
plot twist : the gun has volume down button
  • @memes-ji9st
10:34 did anyone else see the sonic waves from the bullet traveling?
  • I'd be super interested to see a similar video with a decibel meter to show the difference, as YouTubes audio compression makes everything roughly the same volume.

Plot twist: this gun actually has a "turn sound off" switch
  • There are a type, or selection of rounds called "whisper". They have very heavy long low drag bullets, and have very good down range ballistics. I imagine they have military applications, and hunting whatever.

I've heard that .308 subsonic is actually pretty junk as far as terminal ballistics though and that you're much better off with different options if you want to run quiet.

You’re literally able to see the vapor trails on the last shots, beautiful
  • @braeeee_
10:35 you can see the turbulent wake from the shock cone of the supersonic round as it cuts through the air, looks really cool.
  • @JewportMenthols
I swear I see something Porsche related on every video of yours, you gonna review your 911 when you get one?
  • Game devs: Lets use the sound of this sniper as base for every weapon with an surpressor in our game
  • @kubad53
That's actually more quiet than air rifle. Amazing
