Good God do I wish I was as mechanically inclined as you my man. I was thinking about picking up a C4 and pulling the LS out of my Camaro since it’s wrecked but probably just gonna sell it off for parts and drop in a nice carbureted SBC crate motor of some sorts.

This is looking like the car I just bought. ‘84 with 2003 rebuilt LS twin turbo. Working out the kinks.

Didn’t know you don’t have to remove the hood to get the motor in and out, you make that install look easy

Things to consider, ls ac different, is the radiater in a similar place, how about the power steering pump being different. Does it fit under the hood. Did you use the ls trans, what about driveshaft length. Angle, are the engine mounts made for the c4. What about the heater core, ac being wiped out on the Cowell. Did the steering shaft clear. Exause fitment, headers. Ripping old pc out for new. Etc Major pain stuff. Bloodviking

Did you have to do any kind of modification to the cross member? Every forum says something different
  • Hey how did you hook up the c beam on the back of the 4L80e transmission

Do you know which year specifically this corvette is?

A big block chevy will fit with the same mods the ls needs to the car such as the firewall heater ac core area so why not go with something that has way more power. The sl is about 300 hp replacing the 300 hp lt1 engine Bloodviking

There's something to be said about an old school 350 or 400 supercharged motor. I'd rather have done that. So much more simplistic. The amount of computer crap on these cars is ridiculous. Wait till something fails and your sitting on the side of the road. Bloodviking
