Man the quality of service they provide is absolutely amazing. 10/10, not many people out here like you guys. Bless
  • @That1E_K1129
This is why I consider you guys the best tuners around. It doesn't matter if it's a 100k dollar hotrod or a 1000 dollar one they all get the same treatment.
  • a good mechanic wont fix the problem, it will find first why there is a problem and after fix it, you are the best guys...
  • @spsliger
Good Job I'm sure the owner is glad you and your Team did not give up.
  • @RadDadisRad
I am so glad you guys were able to sort out that basket case.

Love the problem solving videos. Awesome stuff there fellas
  • You’re awesome Brent and the crew I knew this car was in good hands because you wouldn’t let it go until all of you were satisfied and done your best and make it right. God Bless you all.

I’ve been having the same low oil pressure on my CB7 that I had to park it 5-6 years ago…. Now after watching y’all fix the oil pump the way you did I’m going to dive back on my baby again… Thanks Brent and Jamie!!!

It looks like the motor was thrown together with spare parts from multiple blown up engines. Pretty shameful that someone passed it off to an inexperienced buyer. Glad y'all got your hands on it.

Brent you are alway a breath of fresh air. You have such a good spirit and alway so positive. I always enjoy watching you.
  • what a nightmare! That poor motor. Great job figuring everything out and working out all of the kinks

Cereal boxs are some of the best gasket material
  • @Tube4TTT
Surely the amount of time and parts spent in this so far with the labour time of all you guys has added up to 4 times the cost of the entire car

Hey Brent, is there anyway you can do a video on just the oil pump. Like if you could show us the “what makes it work” stuff. Maybe a couple different pumps for different engines. Also show us how it could be loosing pressure or how and why you added shims/washers and why that can help. I truly believe if you show us how they work and how you can help make more pressure and the good and the bads We will love ya for it💪🏼🔥🔥🔥❤️🙏🏻

Damn this was an interesting series! Loving it! Reminds me of my wifes Sonata with the dreaded 2.4l, bought salvage rebuilt with a "repaired" engine after her beloved 08 Mazda 3 was totaled by a distracted teen driver on their cell phone .... had to have my mechanic replace the oil pump after a few months of low pressure oil light coming on at idle after warmed up despite running well there was a bit of timing chain noise from a worn guide as well so we did it all at once (little bit of noise as the engine revved past 2500 in neutral and while driving in gear). Once they got inside, changed the timing chain/guides and got that right they found the bearings were wearing due to poor rebuilding/not torquing parts to spec from a decent amount of play in some of the rods/end caps which shouldn't have been there (my mechanic referred to whoever rebuilt it as a clownshow). So in the end, new timing chain/guides, oil pump, bearings, and a few other things that were "while we're at it", combined with a mechanic who CARES and pays attention to details like PFi does, we've got a RELIABLE daily driver we can depend on that should get us around for a few more years. $5k initially for the car due to crap car economy, $1k into it to get it GOOD for a few months (tires/battery/switches inside that went bad but everything worked after that), then $2700 on this job and she's great 🤣
