  • I give Matt a lot of credit for not only laying out his job, figuring how to plumb the hydraulic lines but also describing for the viewers, every step he takes. He makes it look simple but it is quite an undertaking. Great mechanic with a fantastic attitude.
  • Has ANYbody seen a happier guy on youtube?? Even after the rip off by the utility company. What a way to enjoy a Sunday afternnoon. Watching Diesel Creek. Thanks, Matt!!

I have to say, I truly appreciate the reasonably cleanliness of your shop. Being a one man show, that in of itself is a major accomplishment.
  • @MckIdyl
Matt, there are some of us old-timers out here, riddled with arthritis, for whom every little movement means pain. BUT! We get to watch YOU. Go ahead and do what we can't. I'll watch every minute of it. Thank you.

That trick of using a hot bolt to round out the cut in plastic was brilliant. Never seen that before 🇨🇦

8:20 "It's like industrial-grade chistmas" - another memorable Diesel Creek quote. Had a good laugh on that. Thanks for sharing !
  • @shubus
Matt, showing the who step-by-step upgrade procedure is a totally first rate presentation. Thanks! Really great edting, too.

I appreciate that you paint your welds. Can't get a GC to do that to save my life despite construction drawings and specs

Out of all 150 channels I watch this one got to be the best one in the group.
  • @TrickyDickyP
Matt... a tip.. if you are welding under the hydraulic rams, wrap the piston rod with tape or rags to prevent any weld splatter damaging the rod and messing up the seals.. 😊
  • I spent quite a few years fitting for PSM our local heavy equipment implement manufacturer. It was fun to see you do the install.
  • @GARDENER42
BSP = British Standard Pipe. It has a 33% greater proof pressure rating than JIC (8,000psi vs 6,000psi).
  • The only difference between a mam and a boy is the price of the toys!!! Your having way too much fun!! Keep the videos coming. (81 year old retired machinist who worked on printing presses. )
  • @davidfisher7440
Love that thumb. I would however suggest a manual shut off where you teed into the auxiliary line so you can still use other auxiliary equipment. As you are set up you would be feeding two things at the same time. Great work and a nice piece of kit though.
  • Matt is a master at what he does! A fantastic teacher! Congratulations on 3/4 of a million subscribers! You deserve it.

Magic in start. Auotocar with frontfenders, when the digger enters the shop. Next frame, when digger comes around the Autocar, fenders are placed on a pallet. That Matt is truly an amazing man with many skills!!!
  • After 45+ years as a Journeyman Industrial Machine Repairman, I totally agree with you on those fittings. JIC 37 deg and O ring port or flat flange. 👍👍👍
  • @NeilReckerWB
Fantastic work on the install Matt! Love the ingenuity when the directions were somewhat generic, especially with how clean you mounted the control box. Glad we could help make it happen! Wishing nothing but the best for the @dieselcreek channel
