Missing the point. They dont want you to replace your car for an EV, the ultimate goal is for people to not have personal vehicles.

A sensible MP? He's wrong tho, there is no Climate Emergency...

Net zero is not possible and not obtainable. The country has more pressing issues to deal with. I have a 1999 Land Rover and will continue to run this. EV's are a joke.
  • Each person creates 16 tones of carbon. They let 1.2 million immigrants in every year. Who will pop out 1.7 kids. And they're gonna force us off the road to cut carbon?.
  • @SSChewbacca
A net zero future unfortunately doesnt include human beings!
  • Its not up to the government. It's up to the public and they must give their permission first. They work on our behalf, we do not work on theirs. They have no rights to ban anything without consent.

Penalising the public and banning products is NEVER the way forward.

Sir John is correct a ban is the wrong approach. If electric cars are so wonderful and I'm not anti electric cars, then let the market decide

Getting really tired of Tories pretending to disagree with the policies being enacted by their own party.
  • If the majority of people want petrol and diesel transport then nobody has the right to impede that decision including me. Who am i to tell you that you can't have what you want, i am a nobody.

The Bank of England should be abolished.

A complete mistake that any rational person thought so 5 years ago
  • My in-laws were offered a grant/government scheme to have a heat pump installed, they were told that it would save them a fortune in the long term and that it would be really easy for the company to install… this wasn’t the case, for several months they had workmen coming round to their house, it was installed, didn’t work at all and had to be re-fitted, after which none of their radiators worked properly. Once this was fixed and it had finally been set up properly the winter months hit, their bill skyrocketed to nearly twice as much as they were paying before the installation which put their energy accounts into credit for the first time in around 50 years. This is a couple that have always worked hard and payed everything on time so obviously it caused them a lot of distress, which had to be dealt with by my wife and her sisters. The rest of us know that all of this is a scam but unfortunately the older generation still watch the BBC and believe that the current government actually have their best interests at heart, we’ve got to protect them and resist the agenda.
