Published 2024-07-28
Sand artist Denny Dyke has been creating elaborate designs on the beach at Bandon, Oregon – twisting shapes that have drawn fans to walk his labyrinths before Nature washes them away. Correspondent Conor Knighton visits these temporary artworks that have become a spiritual ritual for many.

Tragic. Thoughts, prayers and condolences to that young lady for a life cut short. It's nature, for a reason. Not the national parks responsibility to monitor the weather and determine participant's decision-making. That father needs to take responsibility and accept that it's an unpredictable tragedy.

It’s beautiful and serene, but I’d prefer the dude with the pan flute leave that at home and let everyone relax and meditate with the sounds of nature surrounding them.
