The first upgrade is the Goldring E3 cartridge which is an approx £100 Moving Magnet Cartridge

Both of these upgrades made a noticeable improvement to my listening to vinyl experience but which is better value for money really boils down to a personal situation and I think how long you might end up owning the item for, before maybe upgrading again :)
