Scariest time of my life was back in the 70's, my 1st husband & I were on the Snake river fishing on a tributary. I was near the edge on my stomach trying to net in some of the fry 4 my aquarium. The edge broke & I fell in & the current was taking me out, I screamed 4 my hubby 2 help... He couldn't swim but managed to drag me out. Both of us never went there again. A few years later my hubby accompanied me with a horse trailer so that all of us in the horse club could visit the old rock drawings of the Nez Pierce Indian tribes. The trip was along an old cliff trail, one side (the left) was sheer rock cliff, the other (the right) was an instant fall into the Salmon. We had 2 trust that the horses wouldn't fall. There are tales of horse drawn carriages & cars falling into the river from the otherside & never being found. The Salmon has many underwater caves (you can find these in the Wikipedia under legends & true history). I 4 1 will never make those trips in Idaho again. I did manage to go swimming a few times in the Red River (the trout & fry would nibble on your feet & toes) going up to Elk City & 2 sit in the Sulfer Springs Spa there. All... B-❤'d Memories, Never 2 B Traveled Again. 🇺🇸🦅🇩🇪🇺🇦🌹🐈🐱 (Since 1988).
