Robert Redford and Glenn Close in the 1984 movie: The Natural. Glenn Close was nominated for best actress in a supporting role by the Academy for her performance.

    That line sbout two lives. Iwatched this movie years ago snd I find more and more how true that is. Ive learned to always make sure I learn what the universe is teaching and live better because of the lesson. Who knew a beautiful movie about baseball held such depth.

    I absolutely loved this film when it came out in the 80s... She almost told him it's THEIR son in this scene. Great acting by Glenn Close.

  • I cringe every time I watch this scene! NO ultrasound, No antibiotics, NO probe to see inside. I can do without the hospital!
  • Some mistakes, like the casting of Glen Close. Those are some really broad shoulders. Redford can hardly look "her" in the eye without cracking up.
