ABOUT THE VOICE
The four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series "The Voice" returns with multi-Grammy-nominated Cuban-born singer-songwriter and actress Camila Cabello claiming her red chair alongside superstar returning coaches John Legend, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. Carson Daly returns as host for Season 22.

The show's innovative format features four stages of competition: Blind Auditions, Battle Rounds, Knockouts and Live Performance Shows. This season's Battle Advisors include Charlie Puth (Team Camila), Jazmine Sullivan (Team Legend), Jimmie Allen (Team Blake) and Sean Paul (Team Gwen). For the first time ever, the third phase of the competition will include three-way knockouts.

In the Live Performance Shows, the top artists will compete against each other weekly during a live broadcast, and the television audience will vote to save their favorite artists. In the end, one artist will be named "The Voice" and receive the grand prize of a recording contract.

  • And this why Blake will be missed. I can't imagine this show being as good or successful as it has been without Blake. And great job by both Cara and Jay!
  • Blake is the heart, soul, raw talent, and comic relief of the show, and he introduced country music to audiences who had never listened to it before. He brought back memories of old rock & roll & country classics. He gave country artists a chance outside of Nashville to have their voices heard. If he picked them, they knew he was all in to help them become successful, regardless of whether they won the Voice. 😍 Many of his team went on tour with him, and in the beginning they were even invited to stay at his house to give them a start until they got on their feet. Before their divorce, his wife Miranda (fromTexas) used to work with the contestants too, and sometimes he would talk her into letting the female artists tour with her to get experience. At some point there became too many so she put her foot down about all the invasion of privacy, but those sing-a-longs (she's a songwriter too) around the campfire must have been amazing! Can't blame her for stopping it, Blake didn't know how to say no. One reason we love him. 🙄 Blake has such a big heart & is the best at guiding teenagers and bringing out their confidence and talents! He invited a 16 year olds' parents to come stay at his ranch before touring with him. He wanted them to be comfortable and one of them even chaperoned on the road (which he recommended). He set her up with a label who would support parent involvement because of her age. He opened his restaurants to have a place for his artists to hon their skills onstage and get exposure. Blake's the real deal; he cares! Afraid country artists won't have a chance going forward as Hollywood's version of the Voice is looking to capture a younger audience, and they have provided far fewer country music contestants, or those interested in reviving classic oldies, in recent years in blind auditions. This year is an exception, but country representation has not been very good in recent years. Blake's great natural sense of humor reminds me of my late Dad (we watched the show together) and his Dad (Bapop); they were Okies from a cattle ranch a few hours from where Blake grew up. The main thing they had in common was being genuine, someone you could always count on, respect for God & nature, hard worker, man's man, love of land & country, and appreciation for the red soil. Daddy loved Blake's "God's Country" song & it touched him every time, reminding him of our family's cattle ranches in Oklahoma. 🙄👍 It is rare to be able to break genre like Blake could, but he had talents that went beyond country (his older brother played rock records all the time). 🙄 He had an uncanny knack to be able to isolate & hear certain pitches (good & bad), and rarely turns until he hears the artist hit notes that showed their versatility & range. If singing country, they better know every correct note & sound because he would know if they didn't & were faking it. 😄 He knows most songs beyond country, especially 60s & 70s classics. I miss him bringing in those oldies artists to be his mentors (Cher, Stevie Nicks, Trace Atkins, Dolly, etc). That is why he is quiet & waits to turn; to hear every note and not be distracted by appearances. He hears potential winners & offers the best helpful critique if not selected.👍😊 Blake is one of a kind, and will be greatly missed. I for one probably won't watch the show any more without the diversity & soul he brought. Remember his duets with Christina Aguilera (what a talent) and Shakira? He could hold his own with any of them and sing any genre. Going to miss him, but truthfully have been missing the original show for sometime. They used to spotlight & spend more time on great voices, and not the best background stories. A lot of us have had tough times in recent years and have heart breaking stories, but after Covid we need to be entertained and feel hopeful watching raw talents being discovered & developed. 🙄 Love you, Blake, please don't lose too much country and yourself in the Hollywood Hills and Los Angeles glitter. You are the future for future generations to get exposure to country and Southern rock that is disappearing. 😢 Remember where God's country and your heart are. 😍🕇⚘
  • Love how they look at each other when one sings solo. Soo much respect and admiration for each other and their talent.
  • Blake Shelton is everything and a legend 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😍
  • @Stingraypress
I like how free this season feels. Way less scripted and we can see a lot more of each coach’s personality!
  • @danl8617
"This is my show"! it is, Blake. It is. 🤣
  • This is so funny! I wasn't expecting Blake just to steal Jay from Gwen but most of all, what a performance from Cara and Jay!
  • @rkthing55
Whoever they get for Blake's spot, will have some really big shoes to fill (pun intended!) And I agree with Camilla, Blake and Gwen should cover that song.
  • This was so dramatic and hilarious 😆 Blake and Gwen 💖
  • I don't know how anyone can choose between those 2. I had chills the whole time, that was a beautiful duet.
  • @aadim.4076
Woowww! I was expecting lots from both based on their auditions and they delivered. Cara is so melodious and Jay is just so instrumental and a rounded personality who I feel could achieve anything. Glad that they both continued, I'm such a fan of Cara's tone and Jay's control, I couldn't choose 🌟
  • @tatongt
Cara reminds me a little bit of Alison Krauss. They both have done well. I’m glad they’re both through to the next round. Blake and Gwen are so adorable together. Blake’s quick-witted and so charming.
  • @SJmystic
I'm so impressed with Gwen's song choices for her artists! Great performance!!
