Such a surreal experience for me, I was fortunate enough to be the grand finale at my high school talent show.

The day I printed it off and started it was less than 2 months before the day of the talent show so I know there’s mistakes 😂

Here’s the sheet music if you want to learn it!

To play a wrong note is insignificant; to play without passion is inexcusable. - Ludwig van beethoven
  • I honestly don't think the audience cared if he messed up cause they loved him already from the beginning 😂
  • @riuchu
0:56 the “WHOO!” and then a faint “SHUT UP” 😭

I see no mistakes, I see the balls you got to do this in front of everyone! What a master!
  • I love that when he lost his flow or made a mistake or two, he didn't panic and just continued like nothing happened. That takes alot of courage to do. Especially infront of a high school audience.
  • As someone who's been playing the piano for over 12 years I can say that the mistakes he made were 100% because of stress. This dude knows how to play...!

The most difficult part about this piece of music is being in front of an audience without being used to it at that age. He performed great for that amount of stress he had to endure! Well done!

Imagine being such a genius that you create a score that captures the melancholy and the urgency in the same piece and that's exactly what the movie needed. Hans Zimmer.
  • @Atreidai.
    interstellar always hits home emotionally
  • The kid has talent. But I’m more moved by the support this kid has. The world needs more love like this.

I'm sorry but the guy that yelled,"YOU'RE SO HOT!" I cried laughing But fr this kid's got some talent.
  • We can’t thank composers like Hans Zimmer enough for creating such modern masterpieces. He makes classic music cool again for young generations.

as a pianist for over 30 years now, I still play wrong notes to this date. and this version of the song is really difficult and well done. you did a really good job buddy, keep it up!

I could not imagine how this must have felt. This will be one of the best memories he will ever have. The entire audience loved him from the start. This kid will go far in life.

It takes alot of courage and practice to get to the point of not just stopping after you make a mistake. Very few mistakes, very well played.

I love how the wrong notes don't even sound bad, he had good stage confidence to make up for it. Really liked it, sounded like he practiced a lot to perform it too. Nice one man.

Is it bad I had a tear come to my eye with this performance? What a wonderful display of determination and passion under pressure.

As a non-musician but rabid consumer, for me the key to this piece is capturing the emotion in the execution of the notes. Kid nailed it.
