question- *( i dont have a q2 yet... hoping to win one on auction) are the updates forced upon the user like apple products? or can u pause.. ignore them like on windows if you wish? thats another thing i plan to mainly use mine on pc. i wonder if i can use the HMD without ever giving it internet is that possible? im a sorta wait to see bugs before updating type of guy.

Heya bro that go live to Facebook, did that just show up for after the update or did you have to take extra steps after the update to get that feature?

the things i immediately notices are the flickering when you are in mix realty mode is gone. before the update when i in the room with mixed artificial lights i have a lot of flickering when i moved my head around. the other thing is that the air link is more stable and have a lot of fix and improvement.

What external microphone are you using? The ext mic sounds so much better. I’d like to get this mic for my Quest 3 as people struggle to hear me at times.

Update V62 does not implement any microphone changes on the Quest 2. Those changes pertain only to the Quest 3, which had previously suffered from poor gain staging and a lack of EQ.

The internal mic is just a lower volume. But it still sounds clear.

i respect you mr turtle.. when you said you wont get quest 3 for a while. majority of youtube videos they act like people have cash growing in their garden, i enjoyedit.. i look forward to more videos.

This might bc i havent used vr for some time but quest 2 feels faster and smoother now

Biggest changes are microphone quality and more boundaries

The external Mic sounds louder and clearer, but the internal is fine, just not as loud.

bugged out my headset, it now takes 20 seconds to load the menu when I boot it up.

I'm on ptc v62: ambient sounds of home environments seem muted. Bug or intentional?

Meta removed the feature of having up to three app tasks (e.g. browser or external APK apps) being open while a game or Virtual Desktop is running. That's a real bummer.

Streaming, battery usage, menu updates, ease of use and life of the system are all updated. Doesn't matter if you use a pc or not. I don't think you use it that much.
