I love how Asa is always hesitant about certain foods and you’re like “let’s see!” Makes me laugh every time.

It’s good to see a dad and son that get along. It seems like most kids nowadays hate their parents

Love it when you talk and show pictures of Beirut Lebanon, brings back memories of when I was there in 83. Great video
  • As a fellow American veteran, I will always support a classic cheeseburger MRE. Haha! Though I have to say, other countries seem to have way bigger portions and better menu items.

“Again, coffee..” 😂😂 the suspense for you to say that was hilarious
  • You’re a brave man! That was certainly entertaining! I can’t believe you actually tried that pasta😂 As always, I loved your stories

My father is a Vietnam veteran. Still was on rations not MRE’s. When I finished college and my friends were all coming back (well not all, RIP buddy), from Iraq. Many brought MRE’s home. When my dad saw it, you would think I was a kid again and set the house on fire he was so mad 😂. Because the MRE’s were so good to him 😂. He literally told my buddy who did two tours that he hasn’t experienced a “real” war zone😂. All because of the MRE lol. Just proves food is key to morale. Ps. All my buddies are marines. I’ve had a great privilege of being able to, as a civilian, visit the commandants back yard (yes, where the cannon is). A tour of the oldest marine corps barracks, located in DC. Got to see where the body bearers train (one of my friends was a body bearer). Not to mention all the time I spent across the country at Pendleton. So THANK YOU MARINES! You all are the wall between civilians and danger. I can’t thank you all for your service and sacrifice enough!
  • Yes! Finally get to sit down to watch this video :) I absolutely love the pictures and your memories. I could listen to your memories for hours. I think when that mre was new it would have probably been pretty good. Its a shame it wasnt one that had spent the last decade or so in a deep freeze. I have to admire your bravery in actually trying that mre, i think i would have been out as soon as saw the state of the mac and cheese 😂 Great video as always :)

  • A hamburger MRE sounds like a good meal so long as you get shelf stable buns and cheese. Im sure it is also great on its own. Nice video

  • @rekleif
This is my first video of yours I am watching. Thank you for including prayer into your video. God bless from a fellow brother in Christ. (and I do believe the reason your military has been so successful is because of all the praying servicemen, despite some of the bad leaders you have had during the years. Love from Norway)

Semper Fi!! I was a radio operator with B Co1st tracked vehicle Bn. Amtracs. My favorite mre was dehydration beef patty. I really enjoy your videos. Brings back memories.
  • Very cool. I did my army basic in 1983 and they gave us C-Rations when we were in the field. I still keep a P-38 on my keychain, lol. That was when the transition to MREs was taking place, so I bet they were just trying to use up the C-Rats. Yea, the old, big brown bag, MREs didn't have heaters.
