As a little kid in the 60s with older siblings listening to the Stones and the Beatles, I thought this song was lightweight. I grew up and at 62 I'm still listening and loving this in 2023. Anyone else?? Peace and love!
  • We are still digging the Cousills in 2024!!! Please induct them to the "Rock & Roll Hall of Fame", please!!!!!!!!!

Who is still digging the Cowsills in 2022? If you are not…you are missing out on some good music and perfect pitch vocals🎤🎹🥁 “I Love The Flower Girl”🌺
  • @MegaMaui1234
In 2024 I still listen to their beautiful voices of this band

"I saw her sitting in the rain, raindrops falling on her... she sat there and smiled at me..." 1967... I was 8, and what a time to be alive and a kid. Got my first transistor radio the year before...

Until I heard this, just now, I had forgotten how much I liked this song.

I'm now 74 and this song is a guilty pleasure indeed. Great singing and harmonies in this feel-good music and no Auto-tune!
  • This was one of those feel good songs of the 60s just a great era of music us boomers grew up with 🙂

In my little opinion this song is magical. I also believe that, in spite of the bad things that happened in the 1960's it was a utopian time in our history. I guess things today seem so diabolical. All I have left is nostalgic adoration for The Cowsills, The Beatles and so many other creative entities of the past. Remember, nothing lasts forever but this song and those Cowsill kids will last me for the rest of my life... no matter what's around the next corner, I can always Love The Flower Girl... in my mind..
  • Susan was the flower girl, she is the flower Woman , and she will be Flower girl forever!!

Could you possibly imagine there being beautiful music like this being produced nowadays? That was one great time period to grow up in. I was born in 1962.
  • I was 7 years old when this song came out. I thought it was magic. I still do.
  • Nearly 70, and THIS brings back a breath (if only short), of youth.

This is like seeing a very beautiful 17 year old hippie girl with flowers in her hair. I remember this song around 1967 on the radio.

I've liked this song since I was a kid but had never heard of The Cowsills until just a year ago. What a talented family. Vocals and harmonies are so tight. Brilliant!
