Another reason to bring back manufacturing to within the USA.

Don't panic. Cars have been off loaded outside the port for sometime now. As for the rest, what's not trapped in the port will be diverted to VA, NJ and NY.

I live in Southern California. Mercedes vehicles are brought to the port of LA. Audi for instance uses Mexico. Toyota is at the port of LA. And if I’m not mistaken I think I’ve seen Nissan there. But then again I don’t work at the port I just see the trucks rolling to distribute the cars. So your report across the US being disrupted. I don’t think so. Plus the Long Beach Los Angeles port has modernized. They actually replaced a bridge just to accommodate the largest of the cargo ships to get through. From my understanding Baltimore port is way behind, So I think this is really just fear mongering

Betting 6 months +/- just to clear the debris from the channel and more than likely the need to dredge the surrounding channel and extended area to insure all the debris from the bridge is clear before ships can exit or enter the port! Big project; then comes the bridge!

Ernie Boch Jr. is a billionaire. No need to lose sleep worrying about him.

Cargo that is rerouted will need docks, longshoremen, staging areas, extra support from rail lines, and truck routes. The ships will need chandlery, fuel, and maintenance services available. The next few months will be very disruptive. Of course, other ports will be looking to make a long term steal of some that Port of Baltimore business.

So, they ripped up the railroad tracks, too? Give me a break.
  • DID YOU SEE THOSE CLASSIC CARS IN THE BACKGROUND OF EARNIE BOCH JRS SHOWROOM

I wonder how many weeks it will take to get the collapsed bridge parts out of the way so ships can move in and out of that port.

Dealerships going to raise the msrp to about 10k dealer adjustment
  • @DogManDan
Interesting scare tactics. Imagine the fact that the ships are already being diverted to other ports along the east coast to unload it is not that challenged as they are making this.
