CREED 3 | Review

A solid outing for first-time director Michael B. Jordan, but with one HUGE flaw.

  • Never ceases to amaze me how many actors end up being good directors . I hope you review Scream 6

If you thought the fight between Creed and his opponent in this film is BRUTAL, wait until you see Thorias roast the CW shows like Batwoman (not for the faint of heart). 🤣
  • I will only get excited by these films when Pauly's birthday robot makes a cameo.

Honestly Rocky could’ve been at the funeral scene
  • That mindscape fight was unacceptable. It took a minute but it results in us skipping the entire fight it literally goes from round one to round eleven.

Where could Rocky fit in? Oh, I don't know... maybe ringside, as Adonis' trainer after he decides to get back in the ring with the villain? Adonis: I'm getting back in the ring. I gotta be at this guy. I need your help. Camera pans to Stallone. Rocky: Okay. Boom. Cameo. You can even have him in the inevitable training montage.

Nice. I loved the first one and the second one was pretty good. I am excited to see this one!
  • MBJ did surprise me that he was directing this film and there would be a few things that would show that. But he did good for a first timer and Rocky being absent is very noticeable and that wasn't going to go very well with the context of the name Creed being very close to Rocky within that world. JM did a great job as the supposed villain. But he comes off as a character who was dealt a bad hand and he doesn't want to do the things he did. But Creed himself is looking towards the future and that is being a parent.

Not going to lie I wished that I saw this over the weekend instead of the demon slayer movie ( which was just the last 2 episodes of last season and episode 1 from the new season that is coming up later this year)

Nothing will ever be better than Rocky 4 and nothing is more scary the young Dolph Landgren as a bad guy (You should see him in Universal Solider with Van Damme or in the Punisher 1989 the best punisher movie ever made ). Also there is nothing more uplifting the song "Heart On Fire" on Rocky 4 even better than the Rocky theme. This song always makes me want to workout :) Michael Jorden is a great actor but I find the Creed movies to be forgettable not bad but forgettable even with Stallone and Dolph. The Creed movies just don't have the same Rocky magic. Rocky 4 help end the cold war (just look on Youtube the video "If Rocky 4 Happened For Real" O can not put a link Youtube will delete the comment) :)
  • This kind of felt like a better version of the Clubber Lang story. Both antagonists came from rough beginings and wanted a shot at the title. Main difference was Lang simply wanted a shot at the title cause he was the top contender and thought Rocky was a bum, Damian wanted it because it was his dream as a kid and due to his time in prison he only has so much time left before his body can't compete in boxing anymore. Plus the fact that Adonis is technically the main reason he went to prison in the first place, he started the fight and Damian was just saving him, certainly makes you sympathize with him.

Now he has to make his next film about training Drago Jr. and he'll be the next retired Rocky with a protege.

I actually liked that particular scene that you were griping about. It felt very anime for a lack of better word and MBJ is a self-admitted anime fan so I'm all for it.

Fantastic new Creed 3 film review, Thorias. as a huge fan of Rocky 3 to Rocky Balboa. I'm definitely still going to watch this. :)
