  • "Revis island" remains one of the best football terms of the past decade.

67% of the world is covered in water, the rest is covered by Darrelle Revis

Easily a Hall Of Famer and one of the best corners ever. One of the main reasons why the Jets were legit from 2009-2010. Also nice to see him get a ring

Man. I knew he was dominant, but HOLY SHIT. The man really did leave receivers on an uncharted island

Revis was a bad man, best corner since. Prime time. He turned Receivers into cornerbacks

In 2010, essentially Revis' prime, the average fan would look at statistics and say "well he didn't even get any interceptions that year" but they fail to realize that teams literally refused to throw the ball to the receiver he lined up across. Best man to man corner of all time.

Jets fan here, this dude locked down half the field no lie and rarely allowed a couple reception from a wrs per game during his prime

Lowkey Pitt has had some of the NFL’s all time players. Marino, Revis, Fitzgerald,Donald, Curtis Martin, McCoy.

Revis Island! He literally changed and made that Jets defense prime from the CB spot ! He was amazing! Arguably the best CB of all time.
  • Most QBs didn't throw his way, so his stars were muffled. Revis is a GOAT

Asomugha, Charles Woodson, Champ Bailey, all superb corners but PRIME Revis was that one player who would stay all game with the top WR and shut them down..that's why he barely had any interceptions. Him and prime time are the 2 last true shut down corners.
  • I remember when Revis came out and said he had locked down randy moss. A lot of the professional analyst came out and laughed at him.. Then a year later the same ones were talking about Revis Island every week
  • When u said Vincent Jackson I had a flash just realized I totally forgot about him
  • I’d take a prime revis over any cornerback in history and revis was robbed for the dpoy in 2009 he was easily the best defender in football that year and was better then woodson

As a Patriots fan, this guy was the real deal. Best CB I have seen play in my life time, I was too young for Prime. Always followed the other team’s best WR and the numbers don’t lie, they didn’t play well. He also didn’t benefit from a top tier D-Line like some CBs have such as Sherman and Norman, don’t have to cover for long if the line is getting to the QB. I loved Randy, but his one handed TD catch came when Revis was suffering from a very injured hamstring, so it should have an asterisk on it. He was one man, but I knew how much he impacted every game against the Pats. I always knew he was game changing and gave the Jets life. First ballot HoF.

I was actually at the game when they played the Lions in Detroit. That play they showed where he knocked the ball away against Calvin was the first play of the game (notice the clock). I was looking forward to seeing the match up big time in the lead up to that game... And they tried him on the first play.......

Imagine if the Jets had any offense over the past 10 years
