Edward G. Robinson never made a bad movie. Thanks for sharing! My husband and I are "old movie" buffs, but we never saw this one.

What a versatile actor Robinson was! You rarely got to see him anything other than him playing the heavy. He was said to be a very nice man. This movie is a complete joy! Great supporting cast and fine script!

i keep stopping this movie, cause i'm so fascinated by it. and i can't shut myself up. i just noticed, on top of all it's greatness, the picture quality is exceptional. such great work. i am non pulsed. i am an old man dammit, and i just feel so blessed to be able to see such amazing old pieces i'd thought were one and done, yet here they are forever on you tube. that means the world to me and thank you thank you thank you.

  • EGR is one of the best actors of all-time, no doubt of it. I'm very happy to see these old films being restored and played for us on you tube. This is the first time I've seen this movie. I've enjoyed his career in reverse so to speak. My first real exposure to his acting was Soylent Green. I was aware of him before that, but from that point I became more dedicated at enjoying his work. I put him in a class with Jimmy Stewart and Humphrey Bogart.

I can tell just by listening to EGRs voice that he was a man of principle and compassion. With morals that were expected of a gentleman of that time.
