I'm from the Boston mass area and growing up had the pleasure of meeting Julia Child Many times in person always a wonderful human being very funny and kind It is quite true if you had the pleasure of meeting her that even just one time was enough to know that she was great Thanks to this channel for remembering her ! As always great work keep it up !
  • I absolutely love my cast iron. A cast iron skilletis always on a back burner, ready to go.

Terrific tips!! We learned quite a bit. Thank you!
  • I don't know about underwhelming? That was alot of research to take in, some of it more thought provoking then others but I got some ideas from it that were new.
  • 8 Min is all you need for perfect hard-boiled eggs. the minute you reach 8 min, submerge them in an ice bath and let them sit a few min.Peeling is easier, the egg isn't overcooked AND the gg isn't dry or green.
  • I take the goobie out. The goobie is that rubbery glob that's connected to the yolk. I find it unappealing.

Can anyone tell me what that nostalgic instrumental song in the background is called? 19:50 is when it starts
  • I like my yolks partially raw. I got the idea from my the elder, my mom was taking care of. She was was forced to let me call her grandma. Cause she never had children of her own.

The globby part is called the chaleza. You must have very fresh eggs, lucky you!!
  • 8:11 yeah.. lol they ARE bland if your using whites only... then they show adding an entire chili to burn the hell out of your mouth to "add flavor"... yup, its bland lol
  • You add milk to egg not water, whoever wrote this script must have grown up poor :(
