In this video, I give a detailed overview of my journey on building a Tesla Turbine using resin 3D printers.

So at 3:22, the turbine is turning in the opposite way. I know, my bad!
  • @shottysteve
I like how real you are about the process. Some of the creator experimenter youtubers cut out their mistakes and imperfections as if that’s not an important part of the learning process- or they’ll make everything in their 50 thousand dollar shops with equipment we don’t have access to. Like, I got a 3d printer but I don’t have room for a bandsaw or machining equipment in my studio apartment lol

"I am now the proud owner of the world's crappiest tablesaw" Strong words from someone with a table. And a saw.
  • @oandy1010
“The pressure going down means that it SUCKS” That earned a subscribe, and the rap earned a like.
  • @Chsymstrd
this dude has like 7 500+ $ 3d printers, but he had the worst tools known to man
  • @PexiTheBuilder
"I don't have tablesaw, but I have table and saw, how hard could it be?", my method too :D
  • @bugass81
If you have eight kids you don't need a turbine to grind wheat. You can just make your children do it. You can bribe them with cigarette bouquets.

Famous last words: “A table saw is basically just a table with a saw. I had a table. I had a saw. How hard could it be?”
  • @IexoPeoa
I seem to recall a video elsewhere on YouTube where a Tesla Turbine was run at sufficient speed that the centrifugal force of the airflow reached an equilibrium with the exhaust vortex, resulting in a steep RPM increase and higher efficiency. The speed was 50,000 RPMs, after that it jumped to 70-80k and seemed to smooth out. Might be worth testing...

"I have a table and I have a saw. How hard can it be?" Immediately starts laughing knowing what's coming next.

Call it Edison. Cuz Imagine Edison recreating Tesla’s inventions, and getting credit for it.
  • I accidentally saw this video and I was surprised and impressed by the amount of effort you have put into making of this video. So now you have one more follower :)
  • @TwitchFast
"Join me, because i don't want to be alone." The desperate plea of a man.
  • I love this project bro! I think your doing a great job on improving this design bit by bit. Keep up the good work!

Hello Integza, i have seen a ton of your videos and i watch a lot of other science youtubers. Yours are special because you are not scared to try crazy ideas and show more failures and mistakes. I think this is very important to young and curious people who have been discouraged because they havent seen others make mistakes like these, keep trying, and eventually see their work pay off and get that huge reward from their brain. They may sometimes only see or hear their colleagues succeed and it can be discouraging as sometimes they may feel as if they are not capable of understanding high level engineering or math the same way their friends or colleagues can. When i was younger I had a bad view of the world due to this and people like you awoke my child-like curiousity once again, thank you for all the work you do for all these videos.

Nikola Tesla is also my favorite inventor, what an amazing man, just imagine if he had a 3D printer. Great videos, love your style.
  • @Mayosoftware
Here's my suggestions: On the interior of the turbine - Decrease surface tension by smoothing interior with hi grit sandpaper, fine rosin polishing and then cotton buffing. On the disks apply same process. You can also coat disks with a 3M product called "NeverWet" this creates a nanocoating that nothing sticks, and a micro-level (not nano) coat that the surface is smooth as can be. Without having thousands of dollars of equiptment, such as using steel and precision grinding. Yes I too am an inventor.
  • Your ingenuity is inspiring man, thank you for all your videos, Nikola would be proud!
