The Estate looks SO much better than the sedan.
  • You're looking at it the wrong way round Matt. For less than £5000, you now have a gorgeous X-Type in a lovely colour combo, with fully sorted mechanicals. You also have full jaguar service history, and a modern classic that will climb in value over time. It's a bit like a fine wine. You might have to lay it down for a while, but it will travel really nicely. It was a good decision in my book. Well worth saving.

Tinted the rear windows for the sake of the 🐕 to keep it a bit cooler in summer

I like this guy. He is a one man top gear show, without all the racist comments or thug behaviour. Good chap.

I bought one of these with 56k on it for £700. I had it for a year, loved it and wished I never sold it. Fabulous car!
  • @GTIracerr
The best video's are the ones where you haven't seen the car yet. And take us on a first discovery around it and the service history. At least in my opinion! Keep up the good work!

At 71, I'm the correct age profile for this car and if I had dogs, a Barber jacket & tweed cap, Hunter boots and delusions about being in the Cheshire County set I would defo be in for this Baby👍👍 But luckily, as I don't have any of the aforementioned articles I will leave it for someone else. Nice work though and I LOVE that V6 engine👍👍

I love a man who is not afraid to self deprecate 😁

Not grey mate PLEASE, or black or white or bloody silver! There are far too many faceless cars on the road in those colours today so good to see you purchase a car with character!

Yup, I’ve been sucked in again, straight onto autotrader looking for an x-type estate. Matt you have a lot to answer for !!🤣🤣
  • @MrButler13
I think if you raffled that car you would more than make your money back. You have done a brilliant job with that. Well done

I quote “It’s really tested my patience this, and my chèque book” said Matt sitting in a 17 year old, gold estate made famous by a very old woman similar to what Matt is becoming.Where did it go so wrong. In fairness I had a 2.2D x type sport saloon and loved it.

When you have a passion it isn't an overspend ,it is bringing joy to the soul .
  • @monkeychops1585
As a person who generally lives 20 years in the past, I think it’s a beauty. Well done Matt 👍
  • @georgmurmann5407
I drive X-Type estate since 2011 till now, Matt. And I like it so much. How it drives, the optimal visibility, the space inside and practicality. Besides above pointed arguments, it's a beautiful vehicle.
  • @Rossbott1964
Still a good looking car and even at £5000 I think it it’s money well spent ! Always preferred the look of the estate over the saloon and after all the work you had done it will serve its next owner well….I suppose one benefit of the masoooof overspend is the new owner gets masoooof boot space 😁
  • @Yusuf-cb7pl
You know that the intro was filmed a good while back if he was in the broken Westminster and he was speaking about the 300k volvo
  • @bloodshark124_
Love the "I’ve massively overspent" phase😂 keep up the videos man😊
  • @flowergarden8776
Matt never lose your enthusiasm & happiness about a car no matter how old, you are luckier than most that you are exposed to beautiful and not so beautiful cars, due to your work, enjoy what comes your way and if you have to spend think how much you are making a great car for the next owner. Really enjoy your videos and how boring if would be if you didn't overspend now and again. Thankyou

One of the prettiest wagons made. Really classy, yet powerful and strong-looking. It is not overdone, or too boring. It strikes the perfect balance and for a car that old, it still looks really crisp and modern
