Ruth Joan Bader Ginsburg is an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. Appointed by President Bill Clinton in 1993, Justice Ginsburg is the second woman to ever serve on the Supreme Court. She visited the European University Institute in February 2016 to deliver the Ursula Hirschmann lecture as a conversation with Professor Ruth Rubio Marín from the Law Department, followed by questions from the audience.
