It's not a heartbreak for Martins, But for M Sport because their car failed. Martins showed the world what he's capable of today. And I hope we see more of him in Rally1 next season or even this year already.

Get Martins either a part time WRC ride next to ERC or as development rider in a full WRC season (maybe Rally 2 to get to know the stages). I would bet, if you get him into the circuit step by step he would challenge for the championship within 2 seasons.

I don’t get all the drama about part-time vs full time drivers and the complaints from some about what a driver “should” be or how committed they should be. Part of what makes rally so special is how much it shows everyone as just a human. The hardships and unpredictably on and off stages are all part of the challenge. If a competitor shows up and does the job then they deserve the credit

Just once, I would like to hear a WRC driver in a post race interview...Look at the camera and say. "Shit, do you know how much fun this is? " Hopefully, That might happen at rally Finland. To drive home my point.... Petter along with his driving skill and his smiling personallity were a good portion of the reason I have owned 3 SUBARU's . In the mean time , My family and I rely on your excellent "Dirt Fish" coverage of the events. It is honest to say that you help make BOMBING ALONG on gravel roads fun.
