  • When my daughter came out as gay. It hit me hard. I realized the love I have for my daughter, overcame the cultural phobia I grew up with. My mama bear instincts kicked in. My daughter is my best friend. God answered my prayers.
  • As a graduated homeschooler I laughed at Lo’s comment because I’ve often asked people do I come off weird. Word of advice if you do homeschool your children. Keep them involved in life and also social situations! It’s super helpful in life!!!
  • As someone who grew up in a very small, opinionated town....with a very rebellious (curious) streak....I had a very difficult time especially as my Father considered me an "embarrassment". Watching all of the Beeston Videos, I cannot commend you all enough. It is very uplifting to see the the relationships you have with each other, and with your children ....YOU ROCK!!!!!! If everyone had parenting like Jack, "Baby Sistahhhh", Ozzy and Stella, this world would be a much happier and kind place for everyone. Thank you for being an amazing positive influence!!!!!

As someone who was homeschooled my entire life, there is a way to do it without making your kids social outcasts. I was involved in A LOT of activities. All the sports teams, dance, and theater. We were also very blessed to have a pretty large homeschool group in our community, and we’d all meet up at least twice a week. Our parents would hire teachers and we’d take certain classes at each others houses. I personally did creative writing and art. We’d also have days called “park days” where we’d meet up and just play (when we were younger) or just hang out when we got to be teenagers. They were always at parks, they’d be at a beach, lake, National park, zoo, etc… it’s usually not the homeschooling that makes kids “weird,” it’s the parent’s. Plus, there are PLENTY of “weird” kids in public school as well.
  • Your mom made me tear up!!! I wish all parents reacted similarly to accepting their kids, no matter who they are.
  • It’s obvious you were all raised right. You are all lovely, accepting folks sharing your wholesome lives💝
  • My brother and wife raised his two kids homeschooled and when they got to the high school age if there was a class they wanted to take they went and took it but they joined a lot of activities that happened in the school so they had that interaction when they got older but it was nice for them when they were younger so they could finish their homework early and you could go and get other stuff done. And Joshua is a third degree black belt it has his own karate business also and is a physical therapist, and the daughter Rebecca is a nurse works in California with a lot of renowned doctors also does cranial therapy and massage therapy. The two of them turned out great attitude goals and personalities.

I home schooled my daughters. I withdrew them from public school after they attended for 3 years. They re enrolled when they turned 15. One is now an anesthetic nurse. The other works as a caterer. Both are in their mid 20s and are well adjusted and socialised adults. I say go for it.
