Great video, thanks. Like the knife.🔪 Like excelsior but with a clip blade, lock, and corkscrew.

Never knew this model existed, now I have another one I need to add to the collection. The Wenger packlock is a simple design that works very well. This is the first video I’ve seen explaining it’s function.

    私も印刷では無いエンブレムのロック付きクラシックを持ってます。ロック付きはブレードを閉める時リズムルーティンで片手で安全に閉じる事ができるメリットがあります。

A lockback swiss knife! Hehe, gotta look for one. Happy Thanksgiving, Mark!

Awesome! Thanks for explaining the locking mechanism, Mark! It is a very unique knife for sure… I have seen one before.. :)

That knife is very cool! I'm a lifelong pheasant hunter, so I guess I'm partial to this one. Never seen one of these before. Great find! Have a happy Thanksgiving, buddy.
  • That section is called the locking bar. Yeah it is quite an interesting thing they did.
  • @EDHBlvd
    Never seen one either. Thanks!

Beautiful video, you have yourself another subscriber. I have a serrated alpine backpacker which has the same locking mechanism.
  • I am lucky enough to have found a few wenger knives with some of them still have this type of lock. I am hoping that someday they will be worth something haha.

I am the lucky new owner of this model of knife, I just found this knife at a thrift store. What is the value of this model? Mine is missing the little chain and the silver has come off the pheasant, but the blades are in great shape!

To me, these 84mm, 91mm and even 93mm Swiss Army Knives are too small to justify a lock. For bigger knives, such as 111mm or the Hunter Pro, a locking mechanism is desirable. I've been carrying SAKs since 1995 and that's what's worked for me. That said, I'm glad options do exist, because I'm sure other people have other needs and perspectives.
  • Hey, do you still have the Wenger Pheasant and would you be interested in selling it or would you know where there is another that I could purchase? I collect Wenger SAKs and have nearly all the ones with "pictures" on the scale with the exception of two or three, this being one of them. I have thought about selling the ones I have but in retrospect, I would like to get the whole set... I'm not sure how this works and how you would get back to me... Pretty new at leaving comments.
  • Dont think you can get a Wenger/Wenger after 2008, Victorinox absolved the company in 2004, and Wenger's after that, incluning the likes of swibo meat knives and Sak's had Wenger on handle and Victorinox on the Blades. They became Wenger /Victorinox. Wenger Sak's were re-released amongst the Victorinox range around 2014. Wenger as a company no longer exists😮😢😢😢😢😢 So ive been told anyway 🤷🙏
