Its hard to believe at times that all these 100s of charaters and story came out of same brain . What an amazing saga he has written

I can just sit for hours and listen to George talk about his world. And I'm even ready to pay for it. But he's writing something so I guess he's busy a lot

It's good to see George RR Martin involved, if his world and his characters are being respected in regards to what he intended for them to be, I'm all for it!

GRRM is so good at telling his stories that they almost feel like they were real and he's talking of actual history. Give us WOW now please lol

The darkness, reality and politics is what sets apart GOT and HOTD compared to other fantasy shows. Other shows can’t just replicate the success without a legendary Author like GRRM🔥🔥

Why isn’t there a quality documentary on this guy yet. He is absolutely incredible.
  • Song of Ice and Fire genuinely feels like a world you could live in. You can go back in history from 10-50-500-1000 years and you’ll still find different histories cultures and mythology

I love hearing George talk about his world, like a great historian of a timeline that never existed. So many fantasy writers don't bother worrying about details like trade routes; they're worried that they'll bore the reader, not realizing that it's those sections that make their world feel so real. I cannot wait for this series!

how does this man keep all the details straight?! he's able to speak about hundreds or even thousands of years worth of history and lore, and still be able to go into granular detail on each of the houses, characters, battles, relationships, etc. blows my mind.

The biggest thing is George RR Martin is heavily involved in this. It truly gives me relief tbh 😌

I could listen to George talking about his world for hours. Great storyteller!

I think many people forget just how good of a writer George is. Just listen to him talk here.

Long Live This Man. The World Needs The Last Two Novels, Lord Martin!
  • I always love hearing George R. R. Martin talk about the world of Ice and Fire. Truly inspirational and just nice to hear. I'm excited for this new show. I just hope the writing came first and foremost when they developed this show, and always will. Fire and Blood is amazing source material. If they've made any changes (I'm inherently okay with adapters doing that), I just hope those changes were well thought-out and work for the better.

I'm really happy that they've given GRRM a more prominent role in the series as a executive producer, instead of a consultant in the previous GoT series (we all know how that played out). It gives peace of mind that the lore and story won't be polluted to a large extend under his guidance, unlike another fantasy series that is coming out soon who's name shall not be spoken... So excited for this!

ASOIAF world history has its own breathing, evolving and functioning world. Goes to show how an Architect writer and a Gardener writer can do a multitude of layers to the story.
